Carolyn L. Veach



Mrs. Carolyn L. Veach, 71, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Ft. Pierce, Florida.  

Carolyn was born Jan. 24, 1942, in Lebanon, a daughter of Norma (Akers) Ferris and the late Roland Ferris.

Carolyn graduated from Lebanon High School. She worked for David Allen Chocolatier as head candy maker for 11 years. She loved to play Bingo and make crafts. Carolyn was a longtime member of Grace Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include her daughter, Roxanna Showalter Stultz of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; sons, Larry Lee Showalter of Lebanon, and Jerry Lee Showalter Jr. of Fort White, Fla.; sisters, Shirley Allen of Indianapolis, Patty Ferris of Las Vegas, Nev., and Debbie Ferris of California; mother, Norma Maxine Gregory of St. Cloud, Fla.; brother, Mark Gregory of St. Cloud; companion, James Arthur of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Ferris, and sister, Connie Ferris.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, May 14, for visitation at 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at Grace Church, 3001 Elm Swamp Road, Lebanon. Mrs. Veach will be laid to rest at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.

Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
