David K. Brindle

Mr. David Keith Brindle, 56, of Lafayette, passed away Jan. 13, 2014, at his residence.

David was born Jan. 30, 1957, in Crawfordsville, a son of Margaret (Gordon) Brindle and the now late Livings Keith Brindle. He was married April 18, 1981, to Karen (Elfreich) Brindle. She survives.

David was a graduate of the Western Boone Class of 1976. David was a Wal-Mart greeter in Lafayette until the time of his death. Prior to working for Wal-Mart, he was a courier for Farm Bureau in Montgomery County for over 21 years.

David enjoyed playing pool, collecting cars, airplanes and keepsakes.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret; wife, Karen of Lafayette; siblings: Gordon (Jill) Brindle of Lebanon, Peggy (Mike) Johnson of Brownsburg and Troy (Madonna) Brindle of Carmel; aunts and uncles: Franklin (Donna) Gordon of Zionsville, Donald Gordon of Slendora, Texas, Melson Brindle and Phyllis (Keith) Poole of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Sharon Brindle.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, Jan. 16, for visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. and services will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. David will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery in Lebanon.
