---- — Mr. Charles Robert “Bob” Sharp, 86, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, in Lebanon.

Bob was born in Boone County on March 10, 1927, a son of the now late Carl Thomas and May (Hobson) Sharp. A lifelong resident of Boone County, he graduated from Kirklin High School.

He married Lois B. Hedge on Oct. 25, 1947, in Lebanon. After 51 years of marriage, Mrs. Sharp passed away on Oct. 27, 1998.

Bob was a lifelong farmer. He had particular interests in airplanes, reading and watching many sports, especially football. He was a Chicago Bears fan, and enjoyed listening to country music.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Hannis of Indianapolis, and Annette (Lanny) Knox of Jamestown; daughter-in-law, Debbie Sharp of Dover; sister, Susan Walker of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Valerie (Sharp) Morrow, Craig Knox, Alicia (Sharp) Chambers, Natalie (Sharp) Stack and Lana Knox; and three great-granddaughters.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; his son, Carl Robert Sharp; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Cody.

Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Myers Chapel of Memories. A private interment will follow services, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
