Jon P. Strohl

Mr. Jon Paul Strohl, 58, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at his residence.

Jon was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Lebanon, the son of the now late Mary Beth (Sallee) and Paul G. “Sonny” Strohl Jr. He was a 1974 graduate of Lebanon High School.

On Aug. 14, 1982, he was married to Brenda S. Graham in Lebanon. Mrs. Strohl survives.

Jon was a lifelong resident of Lebanon. He specialized in aircraft welding. He had worked for various companies including Apex, Mears and Vance & Hines.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his girls and coaching their sports teams. In his spare time, Jon enjoyed golfing, camping and fishing. He loved being out-of-doors, taking care of his yard or vacationing in Destin, Fla.

He was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown, Sons of the American Legion and Dead Fish Bar & Grill.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda S. Strohl of Lebanon; two daughters, Stephanie Dawn Strohl and Whitney Nicole Strohl, both of Lebanon; two sisters, Dana Marie Anderson and Lee Beth (Kirby) Jacob, all of Lebanon; granddaughter, Paislee Rose Masters of Lebanon; three nieces, Kristin Marie Hayes, Kari Lee Willis and Amanda Gail Strohl, all of Lebanon; and two great-nieces and three great- nephews.

Visitation is 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Myers Chapel of Memories.
