Robert E. "Bob" McGlumphy

Robert E. “Bob” McGlumphy, 93, Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 24, at his home.

He was born July 10, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to William McGlumphy and Claire Patteson, both now deceased.

He was in World War II, serving overseas in Germany. He was then a private truck driver for many years, retiring in 1993.

Racing was his hobby.

He is survived by two daughters, Tracie Welsh of Reno, Nev., and Susan McGlumphy; and a son, Dennis McGlumphy. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon, from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. Graveside rites will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elmwood, Ill., with burial to follow.
