Mrs. Roberta Elaine Hassler, 75, of Camby, died Monday, May 5, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.
Mrs. Hassler was born April 15, 1938, in Boone County, a daughter of Freddy and Francis (Boyland) Huffman. Both parents are deceased. She was married to Shannon Eugene Hassler on Aug. 13, 1965. He died in September of 2010.
Roberta graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957. She worked at the State House and Economy Insurance and then was a homemaker when her daughter was born. She participated in multiple activities and loved to play cards and board games as well as camping and crocheting blankets for all her grand babies.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Daniel Kehoe; grandchildren, Dustin and Nick Kehoe and Patrick, Rachelle and Brett Patterson; one great-granddaughter, Makenzie; two sisters, Janet Rader of Florida and May Clossin of Noblesville. Roberta was also preceded in death by a brother, Vern Huffman.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, May 8, for visitation from 5 until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9. Mrs. Hassler will be laid to rest in Poland, Ind.
