Pauline Patterson

Mrs. Pauline Patterson, 89, of Zionsville, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon.

Mrs. Patterson was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Hardinsburg, Ky. She was the daughter of Lois and Pansy (Lawson) Early, both deceased.

She married John Patterson on Feb. 19, 1942. He passed away April 1, 1961.

Mrs. Patterson lived in Kentucky most of her life, and moved to Indiana in 1999.

She owned apartments in Kentucky for many years. She helped develop the American Beauty rose. Her hobbies were gardening, canning and growing tomatoes, and she loved to travel.

Mrs. Patterson was a breast cancer survivor.

She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church in Big Springs, Ky. She also was a member of the Louisville, Ky., Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna M. Goad of Noblesville; two grandchildren, Elizabethe “Beth” Catherine Kelley Ball (husband Jeremy Ray) of Noblesville and John Benjamine Paul Goad of Spotsville, Ky.; great-grandchildren, Gwendolyinn (Ball) Hostetler of Tipton, Catrina Foga of Indianapolis and Dravin Ball of Lebanon; and former son-in-law, Charles Ewing of Spotsville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Center Cemetery in Boone County. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery.

Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
