---- — Mrs. Linda Joyce Turner, 71, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at her residence. Linda was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Wayne County, a daughter of the now late William Clyde and Amelda (Penny) Kidwell. She attended schools in Centerville, and graduated from Centerville High School. She married Ralph Eugene “Bud” Turner on April 8, 1962, in Centerville. Mr. Turner passed away May 16, 2012. Linda lived most of her life in Wayne County, until she and her husband moved to Lebanon about two years ago. She worked at several medical facilities as a radiation technician. For a period, she worked as a receptionist for Frank B. Adney, M.D., of Richmond. After retirement, the Turners wintered in Texas for many years. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and in her free time she enjoyed painting and cooking. She was an avid sports fan and enthusiastically rooted for Indiana University. She was a member of Centerville Christian Church in Centerville. Survivors include two daughters, Christine M. (James) Miller of Lebanon and Rhonda (John) Wissler of Indiana; four brothers-in-law, Gerald L. (Marilyn) Turner of Alabama, David A. (Patti) Turner of Washington, Glenn Thornburg of Russellville and Gene Wright of Cayuga; two sisters-in-law, Anna M. Sweet of Lafayette and Opal Swank of Waynetown; seven grandchildren, Cortney Ehle, Jarred (Amanda) Miller, Alec Wissler, Chea Miller, Lauren Ehle, Farren Miller and Creigh Miller; and two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a brother, Richard Kidwell; great nephew, Trey Kidwell; two brothers-in-law, Ken Sweet and Sam Swank; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Thornburg and Janie Wright. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Don Morgan officiating. An additional visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Earlham Cemetery Chapel, 1101 National Road West, in Richmond, with entombment to follow.
