Judith K. "Judy" Smith

Mrs. Judith Kay "Judy" Smith, 69, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at her residence. Judy was born in Lebanon, on June 12, 1944, a daughter of the now late Garvin Stuart and Elva Louise (Mutchler) Dixon. A lifelong resident of Lebanon, she attended Lebanon High School. On Nov. 3, 1962, she married Byron Eugene “Bud” Smith in Lebanon. Mr. Smith survives. Judy had been employed in Lebanon as a clerk at Danners and 3-D, Big Lots and Wal-Mart. She spent many happy moments as a “stay-at-home grandmother," helping to care for her beloved grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her biggest passion was her family. Survivors include her husband, Byron E. “Bud” Smith of Lebanon; two children, Steven E. (Kim) Smith and Rachelle L. (Michael) Redman, all of Lebanon; three brothers, Robert Padgett, Richard (June) Dixon and Paul Dixon, all of Lebanon; two sisters, Jeanette (Joe) Shahan and Sandra Whisler, all of Lebanon; and several grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death her parents and a sister, Joyce Dick. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6,. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Ed Roark officiating. Interment will follow at Browns Wonder Cemetery, east of Lebanon.
