---- — Mr. Lawrence Wayne “Larry” Moore, 57, of Thorntown, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in Clinton County, south of Lafayette. Larry was born July 9, 1956, in Crawfordsville, a son of Feign Eugene “Gene” Moore of Lebanon and the now late Ruth Ann (Martin) Moore. As a resident of Whitestown, he attended Lebanon schools and was a 1974 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following school, Larry served four years in the Unites States Navy, and was discharged in 1980. Larry married Nadine Leona Bolen on July 11, 1981, in Thorntown. Mrs. Moore survives. In Lebanon, he was employed at Lau Industries from 1980 to 1997. Since 1997, he was an employee of Subaru of Indiana Automotive in Lafayette. Among the many things that Larry enjoyed, he loved his family and was known as a “great father.” He was looking forward to being a grandfather, having anticipated the coming birth of twins that his daughter, Megan, is expecting. Hunting and fishing were pastimes, as well as the enjoyment that he derived from his Harley motorcycle. He was talented at many things, and always was willing to tackle a project of any kind. He was especially talented at woodworking, remodeling and fixing about anything. Survivors include his wife, Nadine L. Moore of Thorntown; father, Gene Moore of Lebanon; two daughters, Megan M. (Michael) Nance and Mary B. (Jesse) Mikesell, all of Avon; five brothers, Phil (Kim) Moore of Pittsboro, Rick (Debbie) Moore of Zionsville, and Randy (Melissa) Moore, Gordon Moore and Jeff (Kim) Moore, all of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his mother and a nephew, Jeremy Moore. Visitation is noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Merv McNair officiating.
