Mr. Daniel Ray Adair, 58, of Thorntown, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at his residence.
Daniel was born Aug. 18, 1954, in Lebanon, a son of the now late W. Morris Adair and Mildred Louise (French) Adair Downey. He attended schools in Lebanon, and in 1970 his family moved to Delmar, Pa., where he graduated from Delmar High School in 1972.
After his graduation, Daniel worked in the printing industry in Pennsylvania. In 1999, he moved back to Boone County and worked for Golden Books/Random House Publishers in Crawfordsville.
Daniel was fond of the out-of-doors, hunting and hiking on trails. As a hobby, he made walking sticks. He enjoyed attending the Indiana State Fair and watching the Indy 500, Indianapolis Colts and other motor sports.
Survivors include a sister, Marlene (Oliver) Wilson of Indianapolis; two brothers, Robert (Lou) Adair of Bloomington and James (Charmaine) Adair of Troy, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
No visitation is planned.
His interment will take place next to his parents at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon at a later date.
