Jackson Township 4-H members stand in front of a firetruck they washed during a fundraiser Saturday. The Future Farmers and Victorettes 4-H clubs joined together to raise funds for Betty Cochran with the car wash and bake sale at the Advance Community Christian Church. The funds are to assist Cochran, who has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer and who is the grandmother of two 4-Hers. In addition to washing cars, the youths washed minivans, SUVs, a dump truck, two septic trucks and two firetrucks brought by Advance Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jim Caldwell. Through the efforts, the clubs were able to present Cochran with a $500 check at the “Help Your Neighbor” benefit held for her that night.
