Given a one-day-only price for gasoline and diesel fuel supplies next year, the Boone County Commissioners Monday chose to stall.
They may have chosen wisely. Gasoline prices in Lebanon are under the national average, as well as the Indianapolis metro region’s price.
When the commissioners opened bids for diverse material Monday, Co-Alliance LLP was the only company offering prices for petroleum products.
“It is a bid that is a fixed price for today only, so we would have to accept it today or they will rebid,” Commissioner Jeff Wolfe said. “It appears to be less than last year.”
“From what I’ve read, prices are predicted to go down,” Commissioner Marc Applegate said.
