A group of Lebanon Middle School students took time Monday from their fall break to honor former LMS Principal Brad Allen, who died Sunday after a seven-month illness. “He was a great man,” said Amber Northrop, mother of eighth-grader Gabrielle Northrop. Seventh-grader Arnela Cajlak organized the gathering. “He was one of my favorite principals,” she said. “I was going to do this by myself, but I figured a lot of others liked him, too.” Joining Northrop and Cajlak in releasing balloons were seventh-graders Megan Lashley, Chelsie Howe, Cameron Cole and Antonette Miller, and eighth-graders Kirsten Hale, Sydney Hess, Kaitlyn Beach, Katelyn Freed and Corrine Strohl.

The 11 students gathered around the flag poles at Lebanon Memorial Park and released balloons in memory of Allen.
