About Boone County and The Lebanon Reporter
The Lebanon Reporter is based in Lebanon, the county seat of Boone County. The Reporter has been the local source of news and information since 1891.
A city of about 14,000, Lebanon is known as "the Friendly City" and boasts a popular Back to the '50's festival, a long-standing basketball tradition and a courthouse with the biggest one-piece limestone pillars in the world.
Lebanon is home to the Lebanon Business Park, one of the largest of its kind in central Indiana. It’s located in Boone County is centrally located just northwest of Indianapolis, only 20 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Also 35 minutes to Lafayette and Purdue University. Lebanon has its own school system, hospital and industrial business park.
The Reporter also serves the communities of Advance, Jamestown, Sheridan, Thorntown, Whitestown and Zionsville. Boone County is centrally located to the top 100 US markets and is within a day's drive of over 65% of the nation's population.
