Lebanon Tennis

The Lebanon tennis team got two big conference wins.

On Tuesday, the Tigers topped Danville 4-1.

At No. 1 singles, Danville’s Sydney Ward topped Ava Lehmkuhler 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.

At No. 2 singles, Molly Barber topped Kerrigan O’Brien 6-3, 6-3 and at No. 3 singles, Breanna Page defeated Klaire Himsel 6-1, 6-0.

At No. 1 doubles, Irene Ransom/Michelle Horvat defeated Ellie McAdams/Calla Herald 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (9-7). At No. 2 doubles, Kate Williams/Bianca Coronado defeated Jaymee Heffley/Macy Miller 6-0, 6-2.

On Wednesday, the Tigers gutted out a 3-2 win over Crawfordsville.

At No. 1 singles, Crawfordsville’s Sam Rohr topped Ava Lehmkuhler 6-2, 6-2.

At No. 2 singles, Lebanon’s Molly Barber won 6-2, 6-2 over Reese Minnette and at No. 3 singles, Lebanon’s Breanna Page topped Harmony Taylor 6-1, 7-5.

At No. 1 doubles, the Lebanon duo of Irene Ransom and Michelle Horvat lost the first set 6-0, but came back to win the next two 6-4, 6-4 to earn the clinching point.

At No. 2 doubles, Crawfordsville’s Elyse Widmer and Mia Wagner topped Aaliyah Carlisle and Kate Williams 6-4, 6-1.

WeBo Tennis

The Western Boone tennis team defeated Covington 4-1.

At No. 1 singles, Marli Ransom topped Peyton Brown 6-0, 6-2. At No. 2 singles, Jaden Maze topped Cora Reynolds 0-6, 6-3, 6-4 and at No. 3 singles, Leelah Fettig topped Halle Grady 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

At No. 1 doubles, Covington’s Karsyn Engle and Emma Taylor topped Makaila Arnold and Maddie Hawkins 6-3, 6-1. At No. 2 doubles, Olivia Neff and Jada Smith topped Addison Struer and Isabella Lynch 6-7 (2-7), 6-4, 6-3.

Western Boone Golf

{span}The Western Boone golf team placed second in a three-way match with Southmont and North Putnam at Crawfordsville Country Club on Tuesday.

Southmont won with a 170, with Western Boone second with a 175 and North Putnam shooting a 217.

Levi LaGrange and Luke Barta led the Stars with 42s. Damian Stout had a 43 and Marcus Stepp had a 48.

On Wednesday, the Stars lost to Crawfordsville and LCC at Crawfordsville Municipal.

The Stars shot a 197, with Crawfordsville shooting 169 and LCC 186.

Levi LaGrange led the way with a 43. Elliott Young had a 50, Luke Barta had a 51 and Damian Stout had a 53.

Zionsville Baseball

For the second-straight week, the Zionsville baseball team threw a combined no-hitter.

Tuesday, the quartet of Aidan Fitzsimmons, Ben Carr, Elliott Rossell and Caleb Everson combined for the no-no, striking out 11.

Zionsville went up 1-0 in the second, when Everson scored on a wild pitch. Lafayette Jeff capitalized on three errors to score in the second, but wouldn’t score again.

The Eagles retook the lead on sac flies from Elliott Peter and Jim Rasche in the fourth. Luke Murphy’s sacrifice fly drove in a fourth run in the sixth.

Zionsville put the game away with three runs in the seventh on an RBI-single from Colin Price, an RBI-double from Brody Chrisman and a wild pitch.

Everson was 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Wrigley Bumgardner was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
