Lebanon Golf

The Lebanon golf team started the season with a 171-177 loss to Avon at Ulen.

Toby Meyer and Alex Emenhiser led the Tigers with 41s. John Gascho had a 45 and Drew Reeves shot a 50.

Caleb Girdley rounded out the line-up with a 56.

New Class Assignments

The IHSAA announced their new class assignments for all fall and winter sports on Monday.

There are several changes for Boone County teams.

In football, Western Boone will be in Class 3A for the next two-year cycle. There enrollment of 511 is one over the largest school in Class 2A.

Zionsville will be moving up to Class 6A after being in Class 5A the last two years. Lebanon remains in Class 4A.

Western Boone will be moving up to Class 3A in volleyball, boys basketball and girls basketball. In girls soccer, the Stars will move up to Class 2A.

In boys soccer, Lebanon will move up to Class 3A.

All other teams remain the same as in the previous cycle. The sectional assignments for the next two years will be released in a few weeks.
