The Zionsville boys lacrosse team started their season with a 13-4 win over Crown Point on Saturday.
Down 2-1 after a quarter, Zionsville out scored the Bulldogs 6-0 in the second to go up 7-2 and then built the lead throughout the second half.
Will Sorg and Oscar Moosbrugger each had four goals, with Sorg also adding an assist. Kenneth Aitken scored twice, with Cooper Smitson, Phillip Egler and Ryker Bednar each adding a goal. Bednar and Smitson each had an assist as well.
Cade Taylor had three assists for the Eagles, now 1-0 before Wednesday's trip to Brebeuf Jesuit.
Griffin Howell saved 21 of 25 shots in net.
The Zionsville girls team traveled to Kentucky for a pair of games and split the two contests, improving to 3-1 on the year.
The Eagles started with a 9-6 loss to Country Day School.
Reese Godby had two goals in the match, with Alexsandra DeHart, Hannah Fulford, Emily Pannunzio and Zoe Patterson also scoring.
DeHart had two assists, with Claire MacAbee adding one. Hannah McKenna made 14 saves.
In the second game of the day, the Eagles topped Assumption 15-5.
Pannunzio led the team with five goals, also adding two assists. DeHart had four goals and an assist, with Amelia Rhodes adding two goals.
Godby, MacAbee and Addison Faber had a goal and an assist each. Alexandria Bennett also had an assist.
McKenna had seven saves and Jade Johnston had three for the Eagles.
